Lincoln students showcase designs at student fashion show
The Platform bar was transformed into a catwalk yesterday, in preparation for last night’s Student Fashion Show.

The sold-out event saw guests treated to a stunning collection of garments, exclusively designed by students from the university.

Models took to the runway, showcasing everything the fashion department has been getting up to this semester.

The creations varied from the wild to the wonderful, with an array of revamped shirts, patchwork dresses and hats reminiscent of royal wedding classics.

Particular favourites from the evening included a tailored cropped blouse with tiny pockets and a mesmerising geometric mushroom hat.

The night was everything you could have asked for, with a spellbinding live performance from local band The Set, and an atmosphere on par with those subterranean London bars on your late-night lust-list.

With super cheap tickets and a raffle in the intermission, the audience no doubt got their money’s worth, with some actually leaving with far more than they arrived with.

In a Facebook statement published later that evening, it was announced that the event had raised a total of £491.

Proceeds will be donated to The University of Lincoln Christian Union in support of their ‘Water Station’ campaign.
