Tattoos: Worth the pain?
My first ever tattoo is one I'm asked about all the time, as it is constantly on show and, if I do say so myself, bloody beautiful. Intricately designed and executed by the wonderful Meg Langdale at The Burton Tattoo Collective, I could not be more in love.

Being my first, having my tattoo on my upper, inner arm was not a decision I made lightly. It was painful. Very. However, after the initial pain of getting it done I could not be happier with the placement I decided on, if you have a gut instinct, go for it!

The idea for this tattoo came from a LOT of thinking, me wanting something memorable for my family rather than having four portraits of their mugs drawn across my body.

So, sunflowers are my fav flowers anyway, therefore I am the sunflower. Then both my mum and dad are the two stems of lavender, my sisters are the little flowers, and the one flower with a bud coming from it is my nephew. I am so sentimental and lovely (lol).

Pain was bad, but more so because it was 5 hours of endurance, however, never let the pain put you off because now I couldn't imagine not having my beautiful tattoo on my arm, the pain is so worth the end result!
And this is my second tattoo, a recent investment I made with my best friend. Yes, we got matching tattoos.
I'd like to say we really thought about this for a long time and wasn't a decision we made lightly, but really we got drunk at the pub and thought it would be a banging idea to just email my tattoo artist and book it. That way we was committed, no way out of that one really.

But I'll never regret it, Freya has been my best friend for 13 years this year and this year was also where we both turned 21, so it's definitely one to remember.

The design we just saw and liked really, nothing too special about that, we thought up the idea of a heart made out of leaves and a lily and rose at the bottom because we think they're pretty, why not ay? lol.

BUT I WILL NEVER GET A TATTOO ON MY RIBS EVER AGAIN. That pain was the WORST, I thought my arm was bad, but na this hurt SO MUCH. I love where it is and I don't regret the placement at all, but was the pain worth it? Yes. Would I do it again? No.

We'd love to know, do you have any tattoos? wanting to get any or feeling a big regret from a matching tattoo? Let us know! We'd love to read your story!
